  • Originally it was a Renovation of an existing dwelling, on main street, secluded from view. Very old looking. the living and kitchen was smaller and bedrooms all smaller
  •  Owners are a couple with 2 kids, Gus and Charlene. and it was a home they just bought, they bought with intention to renovate
  • We revamped the whole upper floor, larger living area with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and a covered area outside the main living which has become very popular even though it wasn’t part of the original brief, but we had a feeling it needed that
  • The owners did the landscaping themselves, very creative couple. We embrace their personality and inherent creativity they may not be aware of and import into the design, so that their home is a part of them. Every part of the home has something they did during construction and this is one of our favorite jobs we worked on because we can feel Gus and Charlene in every room
  • Two years after the extension they came back to add a swimming pool at the back, very challenging because their space is limited
  • We can’t wait to work with them again, they are a talented creative couple and we are proud to have worked for them.

  • The project involved making the living larger without adding an extension, a revamp of the interior and a new kitchen larger without compromising on the living.
  • Although small job, challenging due to the level of restriction.
  • We have a lot of experience with conversions of non-livable to lovable spaces
  • A success, we focused around the view of the Chelsea sugar factory, the living external walls originally faced the sugar factory, yet oddly the living room didn’t face it
  • We added a new deck with glass barriers to maximize the view and extend the living though indoor outdoor flow, a small change with large effect
  • The original single garage was not being used so it was changed to a guest bedroom with an ensuite
  • A modest home but a great example of the versatility of the work we do, we like small jobs that are actually challenging
  • We have developed a good relationship with the original owner after the project as every renovation we ensure to bring owners personality character into the home.
  • The value and salability increased, she has moved on to a Devonport property right on the beach
